Former war veteran and current Westminster Police Sex Crimes Detective, Anthony Orban, 30 and California Department of Corrections Officer Jeff Jelinek were formally charged with rape and carjacking in the April 3, 2010 attack at the Ontario Mills.

Both Orban and Jelinek who are childhood friends, were hanging out at the Ontario Mills when the alleged victim was returning to her car after finishing her shift at a local restaurant. According to reports, Orban approached the victim's vehicle, brandished his service revolver, entered her vehicle and demanded she drive away.

According to the Ontario Police Department, Orban had the victim drive to a secure location in Fontana, and then brutally raped her inside her own vehicle. During the assault, Orban snapped photographs on his cell phone which he sent to Jelinek.

San Bernardino County Deputy District Attorney Debbie Ploghaus, a seasoned veteran and highly skilled trial attorney is prosecuting the case. If convicted, both men face life in prison.
