A Fullerton man was arrested in Fontana on suspicion of sexual assault on a female victim he met through social media. Benny Kim, 20, of Fullerton is accused of having sexual relations with a 14-year-old Fontana girl and other related charges. The joint task force of Internet Crimes Against Children and the Fontana Unified School District learned Kim was communication with the minor via text and telephone. Kim is alleged to have sent pornographic images of himself to the young girl and requested she send him images of her committing various sex acts.

Kim was taken into custody and held at the West Valley Detention Center on $100,000 bond. If convicted, Kim faces more than 6 years in state prison.

When choosing to communicate with someone, make sure you are communicating with an adult…meaning a person over the age of 18. Sexual conversations, sharing of sexual images and arranging to meet are all crimes when dealing with minors.
