For more than 5 years, Ms. Kay was a deputy district attorney with the County of San Bernardino working in the Chino, Rancho Cucamonga and Juvenile Courts. In that position, Ms. Kay tried many jury trials ranging from minor misdemeanors to serious felonies. She has won numerous pretrial motions and has vast experience writing and arguing all types of motions.

While a deputy district attorney, Ms. Kay was assigned to several elite units such as:

  • Crimes against Children
  • Auto Theft Task Force Unit
  • Family Violence

While leading the Auto Theft Task Force Unit, Ms. Kay published an article in a bi-monthly publication of legal information for law enforcement around the state.

EXPERIENCE AS A FORMER PROSECUTOR

She also spent time as a prosecutor in juvenile court and is extremely familiar with the juvenile justice system. Because Ms. Kay has worked in specialized units, she has done everything from working with police agencies to handling all types of court appearances, such as:
