Female Teacher Charged with Engaging in Sex Act with Student

A female high school teacher was charged with engaging in illegal sex acts with a 15-year-old female student. Rebecca Diebolt, 35 of Brea was charged with two counts of oral copulation with a minor, two counts of sexual penetration by a foreign object of a minor under 16 and one felony count of sexual penetration of a foreign object of a minor under 15. Diebolt was a language teacher and girls water polo coach at Valencia High School since 2003.

According to law enforcement, the minor came forward once she was in college and after having the ongoing relationship with her teacher. If convicted, Diebolt faces up to six years in prison and lifetime registration as a sex offender.
