Male Nurse Convicted Of Sexual Assault on Patients

A male nurse who was working at Western Medical Center in Anaheim was convicted of sexually assaulting two male patients who were medically incapacitated and a third patient under the guise of a medical examination. Richard Nolan, 48 of Buena Park was found guilty at trial of forcible oral copulation, sexual battery by fraud and sexual battery on an institutionalized victim. Nolan's maximum exposure in state prison is 34 years to life in state prison and lifetime registration as a sex offender pursuant to penal code section 290.
