Paul Cosgrove, of Laguna Niguel Sentenced for Bribing Chinese Official

A former executive of Control Components Inc. pleaded guilty to a single count of violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act after bribing Chinese officials from 2003-2007. Paul Cosgrove, 65, of Rancho Santa Margarita was sentenced to 13 months of home confinement.

According to officials, Control Components, Inc. admitted to making over 200 bribes to officials in more than 30 countries to secure $46.5 million in business. Other CCI employees were also indicted. These employees also plead guilty to the bribery scheme.
