Orange County prosecutors charged Peter Chadwick, 48 with one felony count of special circumstances murder for financial gain today. Chadwick is currently being held at Orange County jail without bail pending his arraignment.

Prosecutors contend Chadwick murdered his wife Quee Chadwick and disposed of her body after arguing over a divorce and financial issues. Newport Beach police officer picked up Chadwick from the San Diego Police station after Chadwick appeared there for an unknown reason.

If convicted, Chadwick faces the possibility of life behind bars without the possibility of parole. It is unknown whether Chadwick has retained an Orange County criminal attorney.
