Man Arrested After High-Speed Pursuit

Tony Vu, 34 of Midway City was arrested Monday after a high-speed pursuit that started in Westminster and ended in Huntington Beach. Vu was arrested for suspicion of Vehicle Code 10851, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Vehicle Code 2800.1, Evading a Peace Officer and a probation violation.

At 2:26 a.m., an officer recognized Vu in a silver Honda Civic on Bolsa Avenue from an earlier auto theft investigation. The officer began to follow Vu, waiting for backup when Vu recognized he was being followed and fled. CHP assisted as Vu entered the I-405 during his flight from pursuing officers.

Vu is being held at the Orange County Jail and if convicted faces 5 years in state prison.
