Posted by Courtney Pilchman | Nov 01, 2012 | 0 Comments

Heather K. Tuiolosega, 47 of Huntington Beach was found dean in her home on Huntington Village Lane. Police believe her husband, Nelson Tuiolosega, 56 killed her while at the same time inflicting self-inflicted wounds on himself. Nelson Tuiolosega was taken to UCI Medical Center where he remains in critical condition.

An autopsy of Heather Tuiolosega indicated she died of stab wounds. Investigators are unclear about the motive for the homicide and due to the extensive injuries sustained by Nelson, they have not been able to interview him.

The Huntington Beach Police Department received a call at 9:45 a.m. of a reported attempted suicide. The call may have come from relatives of Nelson, who say he reached out to them and said he was going to kill himself. When they arrived, they found a potential homicide scene and potential criminal defendant.

No word yet on the status of Nelson or when he is to be in Orange County criminal court.
