Irvine Man Arrested for Murder

Posted by Courtney Pilchman | May 22, 2012 | 0 Comments

An Irvine man called the Irvine Police Department to report that he had killed his wife of 13 years earlier in the day. When officers arrived at the scene around 9:45 p.m., they found the body of Rastogi's wife. Officer arrested Rastogi without incident and he is being held on $1 million bail at Men's Central Jail. He is expected to be arraigned on Wednesday on murder charges.

The couple had been living in the Irvine apartment for the past eight months with their three children. Rastogi and his wife were married for 13 years and he worked in the finance field. There is no indication about motive so it is possible Rastogi has already hired an Orange County Criminal Defense Attorney who has him invoke his right to remain silent.
