Irvine Couple Accused of Planting Drugs Continue Arraignment for Second Time

Posted by Courtney Pilchman | Aug 24, 2012 | 0 Comments

The Irvine couple, who are both attorneys requested a continuance of their arraignment due to a medical emergency. Orange County defense attorneys told Judge Walter Schwarm the medical emergency related to Kent Easter and that his wife Jill Easter was unable to attend the court proceeding. Judge Schwarm granted their request.

The woman the Easters are accused of trying to set up for a drug arrest has filed a civil suit against them specifying intentional infliction of emotional distress and false imprisonment. The victim is seeking unspecified damages.

Lastly, the law firm of Stradling Yocca Carlson & Roth appear to have severed ties with Kent Easter who had been a shareholder of the law firm prior to his arrest. California State Bar records indicate Kent Easter has left the firm and started his own law firm.
