Driver Arrested for Suspicion of DUI after Pedestrian Killed

A man walking across traffic lanes on Beach Blvd in Orange County died when he was struck by a 2000 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck at 5:15 a.m. October 22, 2011. The driver, Alexandro Cedillo of Stanton was arrested after officers conducted field sobriety tests and a DUI investigation.

Cedillo, who did stop at the scene of the crash was travelling northbound on Beach Blvd when he allegedly struck the pedestrian who was walking in the roadway. Anaheim police suspect the victim may have been hit by other drivers and are asking the public to contact them with any information.

Cedillo is in custody and should be arraigned Tuesday, October 25, 2011.
