Posted by Courtney Pilchman | Jan 11, 2010 | 0 Comments

A man suspected of residential burglary on Caribbean Drive in Dana Point was spooked and fled the scene when sheriff's deputies arrived after receiving a call from a woman who reported a man was trying to break into her home at 10:45 a.m.

When deputies arrived they saw a man matching the description of the suspect running away from their approaching vehicle. The suspect fled in a Ford Mustang heading north on PCH towards Laguna Beach. Deputies reported the suspect “floored it” ultimately crashing into four vehicles at the corner of Oak Street and PCH. The suspect then exited his vehicles and ran on foot, hiding in a detached garage.
