Santa Ana Man Pleads Guilty to $26-million Medicare Fraud Scheme

Michael Martinez, of Long Beach plead guilty to one felony count of Medicare fraud. Martinez, was accused of recruiting gang members to act as straw owners of a medical supply company who fraudulently submitted $11.2 million dollars in claims.

Martinez was one of twenty defendants charged with insurance fraud relating to the power wheelchair claims. Martinez faces up to 10 years in prison.
