Los Angeles County Sheriff Charged with Domestic Violence in Fullerton

Sean Delacerda, of Fullerton was charged with assaulting his ex-girlfriend with his handgun. Initially, Delacerda placed the firearm in his mouth and pulled the trigger then turned the gun on his ex.

Delacerda, faces a felony count of PC 245, Assault with a Firearm, PC 207, Kidnapping, PC 236, False Imprisonment by violence and a misdemeanor count of PC 242, Domestic Battery.

Delacerda allegedly entered the Fullerton home of the victim, who he had dated for only two months when she was not home and without permission. When she arrived, Delacerda pulled out the gun and loaded one bullet into the cylinder and forced her to show him her emails.

While he was reading the emails, the victim tried to escape but Delacerda tackled the woman and covered her mouth so she couldn't scream. If convicted, Delacerda faces up to 18 years in state prison.
